Among the professional peels offered by expert skincare brand SkinMedica® is the revolutionary Vitalize Peel®. This superficial to medium facial peel is the deepest of the superficial peels offered in the cosmetics industry, meaning you’re getting the results of a medium peel without the recovery. Birmingham Cosmetic Surgery can help you decide if a Vitalize Peel™ is right for you.
What Is Vitalize Peel®?
Vitalize Peel® is the deepest of superficial peels designed to treat mild to moderate skin concerns on the face. By chemically exfoliating the top layer of skin, this peel from SkinMedica® can help to brighten and liven your skin while also diminishing signs of aging. This peel is administered in office by an expert at Birmingham Cosmetic Surgery, ensuring amazing results and satisfaction.
Vitalize Peel® Procedure
During a chemical peel, a chemical solution containing glycolic acid or salicylic acid is applied to the face using a brush, cotton ball, or other type of applicator. During the procedure, you may feel some slight tingling and warmth as the chemicals work to do away with dead skin cells. The result is a more even and bright complexion with diminished signs of aging, sun exposure, and scarring.

What Our Patients Say
Vitalize Peel® Results
After you receive a deep superficial peel, like Vitalize Peel®, your skin may have some redness, but this should go down. You may experience some tightness in the skin before it starts to peel, do not pick at the peeling skin, let it shed on its own. The peeling process can take 5 to 7 days. It is important that you do not wash your face until the morning after your treatment.
After a Vitalize Peel®, you will notice an improvement in the overall appearance of the skin. For optimal results, you may need a series of four to six Vitalize Peel® treatments, spaced at four weeks apart. This schedule, combined with an at home skincare routine developed by you and your provider, should yield the aesthetic results you desire.
