Brittany Lyon

Aesthetician, Certified Laser Technician, Certified Phlebotomist

Brittany is a central part of our aesthetics team and loves helping patients look and feel their best. With an associate degree in business administration and liberal arts, as well as being a licensed esthetician and certified phlebotomist, she offers extensive experience with our best aesthetic treatments.

Brittany’s favorite treatment here at Birmingham Cosmetic Surgery is microneedling. She is dedicated to her family and enjoys swimming, snorkeling, cornhole, hiking, and spending time with family at her cottage in Crystal Lake.

Anela Majdanac

Administrative Assistant

Anela is a central member of our administrative assistant team at Birmingham Cosmetic Surgery. She is fiercely dedicated to helping patients feel welcomed and enjoy their experiences at our offices. Throughout your cosmetic surgery or treatment experience, she is available to answer questions and ensure you have everything you need.

Anela especially enjoys the HydraGlow treatment and in her spare time loves reading, walking her dogs, shopping, and basketball.

Destiny Masters

Administrative Assistant

Destiny is one of our amazing administrative assistants at Birmingham Cosmetic Surgery. She loves helping patients over the phone or in person at our offices. Whatever your needs throughout your surgical or treatment process, from pre-treatment to post-treatment, she is happy to help.

Destiny’s favorite treatments include HydraGlow and Juvéderm. In her spare time, she enjoys bowling, reading, and spending time with friends and family – both here and up north.

Dana Merrifield

Patient Coordinator

Dana is a patient coordinator and certified medical assistant. She loves guiding patients through their surgical and treatment process, ensuring they enjoy a smooth and low-hassle process. As a knowledgeable and valuable member of our patient coordination team, she looks forward to helping you enjoy your time at Birmingham Cosmetic Surgery.

Dana’s number one favorite treatment is Botox for its incredible results. In her spare time, she is dedicated to her four children.

Madisyn Wicks

Aesthetician

Madisyn is a member of our amazing aesthetics team. Having completed an associate of arts degree and an aesthetician program at Siena Heights University, she is now a nursing student at Jackson College. She enjoys the supportive, encouraging environment here at Birmingham Cosmetic Surgery and loves helping patients look their best.

Madisyn loves lip filler as well as performing IPL and microneedling. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, coaching varsity cheer, exploring new restaurants and bars, and singing karaoke.

Ashley Hillier

Practice Manager

Ashley is the practice manager at all locations here at Birmingham Cosmetic Surgery. She began as a medical assistant before transitioning to a surgical technician under Dr. Rifai. She has been an amazing member of our team for over 17 years and has made many lasting friendships. She enjoys meeting patients and seeing the positive, transformative changes possible with cosmetic surgery.

Ashley loves Obagi Skincare and recommends it to patients often. In her spare time, she spends time with her husband and son, as well as their dog and two cats. She enjoys traveling to her cabin, doing Barre, and spending time outdoors.

Katelyn Stoll

Nurse Injector/Surgical Nurse

Katelyn, one of our registered nurses, plays a vital role in our aesthetics and surgical teams. She enjoys helping patients explore injections and creating natural, flattering results. She is also passionate about assisting Dr. Rifai during surgery and ensuring a great outcome for cosmetic surgery patients.

Katelyn’s favorite treatments include lip filler and microneedling. She enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, as well as going to the beach and trying new foods.

Milena Stanojevic

Dr. Rifai's Assistant

Milena is a member of our patient coordination team and also assists with many different roles here at Birmingham Cosmetic Surgery. She is proud of the amazing results achieved by our team and the welcoming, genuine environment at our offices. She takes great care to ensure our patients are comfortable and feel like their best selves when they leave.

She loves Botox and has been positively impacted by it as a lifelong TMJ patient. During her free time, she spends time with family and loves going to the beach – going down to Florida any chance she gets.

Megan Coleman

Patient Coordinator

Megan is a certified nursing assistant and patient coordinator here at Birmingham Cosmetic Surgery. She loves working with Dr. Rifai and our amazing team, as well as watching patients leave with their incredible treatment results. Whatever your needs, she is happy to help you enjoy your time with us.

Megan loves microneedling and Botox, and in her spare time prefers fishing and working in her yard. She is a single mom to a beautiful daughter.

Carrie Plahutnik

Patient Coordinator

Carrie is our patient coordinator at Birmingham Plastic Surgery. She loves everything about working at BCS, but especially making our patients feel beautiful. Her favorite procedure is Botox.

When she’s not in the office, she loves working out, going to the beach, and spending time with her husband and two sons.

Tricia Keogh

Aesthetician

Tricia is one of our aestheticians at BCS. She has a cosmetology license and loves making people feel good about their skin. She also loves working with Dr. Rifai and the whole team. Her favorite treatment to perform is microneedling.

In her spare time, she loves spending time with family and friends, especially her son.

Liz Trybus

Nurse Injector

Liz is our nurse injector at Birmingham Cosmetic Surgery. She has a Bachelor of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Eastern Michigan University. She loves being part of the strong team at BCS and enjoys how supportive everyone is. Her favorite thing about her job is making people feel good about themselves and building their confidence. Liz’s favorite treatments to perform include Botox, microneedling, and IPL.

When she’s not working at BCS, she loves spending time with her husband and her three kids. She also enjoys traveling with her family, camping on the northern Michigan coastline during the summer, exercising, watching her kids play sports, and making and finding healthy food options.

Fadi Matta

Surgical First Assistant & Injector

Fadi is our surgical first assistant and injector. He has an MD from his time in Syria. He loves making a difference in the way our patients feel about themselves, and he loves working with Dr. Rifai and the team at BCS. His favorite procedure we offer is the abdominoplasty or tummy tuck.

In his free time, he loves spending time with his wife and two kids and enjoys cooking and grilling, watching soccer, and playing cards.

Sheila Krasko Shechter

Certified Medical Assistant

Sheila is our certified medical assistant at Birmingham Cosmetic Surgery. She has a degree in Allied Health from the University of Michigan-Dearborn, a National Certification in Phlebotomy and Medical and Laboratory Assisting, and a Certification in Hickman and Mediport care, Chemotherapy Immunotherapy, Lightsheer Laser, and Sciton Laser.

She loves meeting and caring for patients and seeing how their self-confidence transforms. She also loves working with the entire team and enjoys the family atmosphere we have at BCS. Our range of aesthetic treatments are some of her favorites.

When not in the office, and with her children both grown and on their own, she most loves traveling with her daughter, spending time with her husband and son, as well as the many animals on her farm. She also enjoys painting, writing, composing music, playing guitar, remodeling, hiking, gardening and cooking.
