Many of our Detroit patients want to know how long recovering from their nose job will take. Each patient heals at their own rate, but in general, you can return to work or school in about one week.
After surgery, you will go home with nasal packing and a splint in your nose to support the tissue during its initial healing phase. The day following surgery, we will remove the nasal packing. The splint is removed at one week.
You will experience some swelling and bruising around your nose and eye area. This will begin to subside in the first week, but can last up to six months. Most patients can return to all of their normal activities after one week of recovery.
