Eliminate Varicose Veins Safely With EVLT
Endovenous Laser Treatment, EVLT, is an effective and minimally invasive procedure for the treatment of varicose veins, that replaces the old-fashioned procedure known as “stripping”. EVLT utilizes laser technology to seal off the targeted vein and provide relief from symptoms associated with varicose veins.
This procedure takes approximately 45 minutes. Local anesthesia is used to numb the area prior to the use of the laser. During this vein treatment procedure, Dr. Rifai uses ultrasound technology to guide the laser and target the problem varicose vein. There is no visible scarring to the skin’s surface and recovery time is minimal.
Walking is encouraged immediately following the procedure. You should expect to return to work the next day. You may experience some swelling and bruising for approximately 7-10 days following the procedure.
Dr. Rifai is among the first physicians in Michigan to perform this procedure and has successfully performed hundreds in the last 8 years. Let Dr. Rifai answer your questions about EVLT during your consultation.
